A Useful Free Human Anatomy App for Your iPad/Phone/Pod

This free Human Anatomy application is an ideal application for students, who would like to learn the names of various body parts, organs and other terminologies related to the human body. Although, the illustrations are not great and the information is limited, it is still a useful mobile educational quick reference app that contains the information of fifteen different biological systems:
  1. Cardio Vascular System
  2. Digestive system
  3. Endocrine - Central Nervous
  4. Endocrine - Reproductive
  5. Endocrine - Alimentary
  6. The Eye
  7. Female Reproductive System
  8. Lymphatic System
  9. Male Reproductive System
  10. Muscular System - Back
  11. Muscular System - Front
  12. Nervous System
  13. Skeletal System - Back
  14. Skeletal System - Front
  15. Urinary System

  • Illustration of each biological system that can be zoomed using pinch touch.
  • Description of each element represented in each biological system.
  • Reference links to wiki for more thorough descriptions.
In other words, great for learning on-the-fly.

If you find this app too limited, you could always fork up $1.99 and explore this improved Human Anatomy app (screenshot below), which also has an option to take tests on how far you are progressing with each lesson (e.g. Click on each number to type in the name of the body part). Each body part has also a full description.

If you know of any other Human Anatomy apps ideal for mobile learning, please feel free to share. Thanks!
